Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of curtain rod will I need?
The valance is sewn with a built-in return, so it should wrap around the sides. To do that, you’ll need a continental rod.
How do I measure for this valance?
Please watch the video to help you find the right size to order.
Can you make this in a different width?
No, this style is only available between 45 and 52 inches wide specifically.
Which length should I select?
Most of our customers choose the 18-inch length. The 16-inch length is ideal for low ceilings, as well as solid or small-scale fabric patterns. The 20-inch length is great if the valance will hang well above 8 feet from the floor. Keep in mind that large fabric patterns work best on longer valances and that adding fringe will add to the overall length of the valance.
Can I get a sample of the fabric first?
Of course. Click on the small picture of the fabric above, then click on the large button titled “Get a Sample” to purchase a sample.
Does this valance gather on the rod?
No, this valance was designed to look more like a cornice. It is designed to hang flat with the rod pocket pressed neatly.
Can I also buy matching draperies?
If your fabric is available as a shaped valance, chances are it’s available for our other custom window treatments. Look for it in our custom drapery products. Once you find your drapery style, simply type the fabric name in the search. Keep in mind that those custom products require more time to sew, so the turnaround time may be extended by about an additional week.
Can I put two valances side-by-side on the same window?
We don’t recommend this. The shaped valance is intended for individual single windows only.
What is the production time and what is your refund policy?
All customized products are final sales and generally have a 2 to 3 week turnaround period. Read our guarantee for more detailed information.
